Ethiopia: Three Nigerians caught trying to steal $27 million
 The words "Nigerian" and "steal" seem to have married in the past ten years, haven't they?(SomaliNet) Three Nigerians have been detained after forging the governor's signature to try to steal $27 million from its international account, Ethiopia's central bank, the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE), said on Tuesday. According to the bank, it was informed by Citibank earlier this month of a $27 million drop in its account. "NBE immediately brought to the attention of Citibank, it had not endorsed any payment and that larceny had happened," it said in a statement. Citibank returned the money and a probe ensued. "Three Nigerian nationals were detained as they allegedly went to a bank in South Korea to withdraw the $27 million, under a forged signature of Tekelewold Atnafu, the governor of NBE," the Ethiopian central bank said.
