More than 27 kilos of heroin seized at Port of Halifax by border officers
The Canada Border Services Agency says it found more than 27 kilograms of heroin almost two weeks ago at the Port of Halifax. It says border officers discovered the drugs on Oct. 22 in a marine container that was bound for Ontario from Pakistan. The agency says the container was scanned using X-ray technology, which helped find 161 packages of suspected heroin in 81 cardboard boxes.
