General inspector of the Electricity Ministry escapes assassination attempt
 The general inspector of the Electricity Ministry on Tuesday survived an attempt on his life in western Baghdad, the media spokesman for the ministry said. "Saadi al-Sudani, the general inspector of the Electricity Ministry, survived an assassination attempt when an explosive charge went off in front of his house in al-Qadisiya neighborhood in western Baghdad," Aziz Sultan al-Shimri told Aswat al-Iraq.
