DRC: President Kabila replaces military chief
 (SomaliNet) Following a series of defeats by Tutsi rebels in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Congolese president Joseph Kabila has replaced his military chief of staff. On Monday the rebels captured the town of Rwindi, 100 kilometres north of the city of Goma. After talks with UN special envoy and former president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday, rebel leader Laurent Nkunda said he was prepared to hold a ceasefire and talks with the government.
