Govt official kidnapped
A senior government official and his seven bodyguards were kidnapped near North Waziristan, the region's chief administrator said on Monday.Assistant Political Agent (APA) Mir Ali Asmatullah Wazir was on his way home for Eid celebrations when he was kidnapped in Bannu, Political Agent Mutahar Zeb told Daily Times. "The APA has gone missing after crossing the Kajhori checkpoint," the crossing point into North Waziristan, Zeb said. No group has so far claimed responsibility for kidnapping.
