Former Marine earns Bronze Star, Purple Heart as Soldier in Iraq Or Old Warhorse doinâ us proud
Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld shakes the hand of Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Meyerhoff. Meyerhoff, a former Marine rifleman in Vietnam from â68 to â69, was wounded in an ambush in Iraq. He and two other soldiers are nominated for the Bronze Star for their actions during that ambush. The soldiers are with the 461st Personnel Services Battalion, a Reserve unit from Decatur, Ga.Sorry not much more info, good to see an old guy still out leading by example for the young warriors (Rifleman in â68 w/Leathernecks!)
