Guardiansâ Council reinstates 200 MPs
Iranâs conservative Guardians Council has cleared 200 reformist candidates to stand in this monthâs parliamentary elections however more than 2,000 others are still barred from contesting the poll.Skipping through what we already know ... In response, Iranâs Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered a review of the bans, and after vetting the 2,500 barred candidates, the conservative guardians council has reinstated about 10 per cent.
