87 suspects arrested in Hangu
The Hangu district administration has arrested 87 people, suspecting them of planning sectarian violence during Muharram, officials said.

Talking to reporters, Hangu District Coordination Officer (DCO) Syed Mujibur Rehman said the arrested men had been detained in Dera Ismail Khan central prison after they were charged under various sections of the law.

Rehman said the crackdown against suspected people and militants in the area would continue.

Meanwhile, Hangu Station House Officer Saeed Khan Khattak told reporters that clerics of the Shia and Sunni sects in Shahoo, Ibrahim Zai and Raisam areas had agreed not to take up arms against each other in Muharram.
