ANP leader shot dead in Mingora
A local Awami National Party leader was shot dead in the congested Green Chowk on Tuesday. In other incidents, two people, including a police official, were kidnapped and a vacant house of a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) was blown up.

ANP leader Malik Riaz Ahmed Khan, also a general councillor of Kanju Union Council, was killed when unidentified attackers sprayed his car with bullets. He died on the spot, a police official said.

Fazal Anwar, a police official, was kidnapped from Barikot tehsil while armed men abducted Haider Sher, brother of Pakistan People's Party (Sherpao) Swat President Sher Shah Khan from Kabal Tehsil.

Meanwhile, suspected militants blew up house of DSP Huda Baksh in a suburb of Mingora on Tuesday.
