Abbas accuses Israel of trying to 'wipe out our people' in beleaguered Gaza
Israeli troops and Hamas fighters traded fierce gunfire on the streets of Gaza City Tuesday as Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said the Zionist state was trying to "wipe out" his people. Israeli special forces backed by tanks and air strikes barreled their way ever deeper into Gaza's largest city, advancing several hundred meters.Right. Gaza has a population estimated at 1,481,080. 17 days of combat has resulted in approximately 1000 deaders, or about 59 a day. It's therefore obvious that at this rate in another 69 years -- a mere 25,160 or so days -- the entire population will be wiped out. That doesn't count the bunny population, of course.
