Yes, we're under attack...
They've been at it since yesterday: brute force hacks, SQL injection, looking for Microsoft points of entry, and a few more techniques. There's one that periodically causes the number of connections to shoot up, but I haven't isolated it yet. Thought I had it under control when I went to bed last night, but obviously I didn't. Virtually all the originating points have been Latin America: Messico, Venezuela, Peru, Argentina ranges have been banned so far, other than the usual background noise of Chinamen. I'm guessing the Mighty Venezuelans are exercising their IT forces. I'll keep working on it as I can today. Either Bad and I will find them and bounce them, or they'll give up and go away. Or they'll take over Rantburg, change my password so I'm locked out, and put up Socialist realism-type painted pictures of Hugo smiting the evil Bush while incorporating us into their bot net.
