Iraq sahwa gets 8 seats in Anbar
Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraq Sahwa Alliance list won eight out of the predominantly Sunni province of al-Anbar local council's 29 seats, according to Iraq's Independent Higher Electoral Commission (IHEC) on Thursday."The Iraqi National Project Grouping and the Intellectuals and Tribes Alliance for Development obtained six seats each," the IHEC said in a press conference in Baghdad on Thursday to announce the final results of the country's provincial council elections.
