Libya calls on Al-Bashir to permit return of Darfur aid workers
 Libya wants Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to allow humanitarian organisations back into Darfur, AP quoted Libya's UN ambassador Abdurrahman Mohamed Shalgham as saying on Thursday (March 26th). Also Thursday, Al-Bashir stopped for a short visit in Sirte for talks with Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi. By travelling to Libya, Al-Bashir defied an International Criminal Court warrant for his arrest on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur.Posted by: Fred 2009-03-28 |
