Photo Radar Worker Gunned Down In Phoenix
Several shots were fired at a Department of Public Safety photo enforcement vehicle, hitting the worker several times, according to Harold Sanders, a DPS spokesman. The operator was taken to an area hospital, where he later died, according to 12 News.Phoenix police and the Arizona Department of Public Safety were trying to identify the suspect vehicle late Sunday night. Just before 11 p.m., eastbound lanes of traffic on the Loop 101 were being rerouted at 7th Avenue. Authorities expected the freeway to be closed until the morning rush hour, said Sanders.
