Three killed in fresh attacks in Thai south
Three people, including two terrorists suspected militants have been left dead in separate incidents in Thailand's restive south, police said Thursday.

They said a 32-year-old Muslim man, sought by police over bombs planted in troubled Pattani province, was found dead Thursday morning next to his motorcycle at a cemetery in the main Pattani town.

A district mayor in neighbouring Yala province was later killed in a drive-by shooting. Police said two men had shot at the 51-year-old as he drove home from a business meeting. His assistant was also shot and seriously injured. Two other men were wounded in two separate shootings in Pattani later in the afternoon.

On Wednesday, a terrorist suspected militant was shot dead after a 20-minute gun battle with about 100 security personnel in nearby Narathiwat province.
