U.S. pessimistic about North Korea ever returning to six-party talks
[Kyodo: Korea] The United States said Thursday it is highly skeptical that North Korea will ever return to the six-way talks aimed at denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the Senate Appropriations Committee that she thought it is ''implausible, if not impossible'' that North Korea will return to the six-party talks and begin to disable its nuclear program.
