5 Mehsud aides killed in Karachi
 At least five associates of Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) chief Baitullah Mehsud were killed in a shootout with the police in Sohrab Goth area, Gadap Town on Friday night. Gadap Town SP Rao Anwaar said that the police, after receiving a tip-off, conducted a raid at the TTP members' hideout near Pioneer farmhouse -- a secluded area on the outskirts of Karachi. Some of the terrorists managed to escape while the police killed five of them during crossfire. A large quantity of weapons was also seized from the hideout.Posted by: Fred 2009-06-27 |
