13 Taliban killed in Orakzai
At least 13 Taliban were killed when fighter jets and helicopter gunships pounded their hideouts in Orakzai Agency on Saturday, sources said. They said at least three soldiers were injured in gunbattles with Taliban. Three Taliban hideouts were destroyed. Separately, at least nine members of a tribal lashkar and three Taliban were killed in fighting in Mohmand Agency, officials said. They said Taliban attacked the lashkar with rockets and mortars in Pampoha. Five Taliban were injured when the lashkar retaliated. Separately, security forces arrested seven terrorists and recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition and equipment from various tunnels in Swat, an ISPR statement said.
