Nork freighter in Yellow Sea
SEOUL, July 5 (Yonhap) -- A North Korean cargo ship being tracked by the U.S. Navy on suspicion of carrying illegal weapons has been sailing in international waters off the Yellow Sea of South Korea, military sources said Sunday.The freighter Kang Nam left North Korea's western port of Nampo June 17 and is the first vessel the U.S. Navy has tracked on suspicion of carrying illegal weapons under U.N. Resolution 1874. "I believe that the North Korean cargo ship Kang Nam is heading toward North Korea in international waters 200km off the western coast of South Korea," a source said, adding the ship is expected to enter into the North Korea's territorial waters at about 10 a.m. Monday.
