Yemen: Soldiers killed during ambush
[ADN Kronos] At least four Yemeni soldiers were killed and another was injured on Tuesday after they were ambushed by gunmen in the country's southern province of Abyan, scene of numerous anti-government protests in recent months.At least 10 militants ambushed a security patrol at 2 a.m. local time at the Umm Ein district. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, however a hunt has been launched for the attackers, Yemen's official news agency Saba said. The attack took place less than a week after 16 people were killed in the region during clashes between Yemeni police authorities and protesters demanding the release of detainees who had been arrested during earlier protests.
