'Militants die in drone attack'
[BBC] At least six suspected militants have been killed in a US drone attack in north-west Pakistan, officials say. A militant hideout was targeted in the South Waziristan tribal region, Pakistani intelligence officials said. A similar attack in the same region in early August killed top Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud. There were others, before and since, that didn't kill him. Posted by: ed 2009-08-27 |
