AP picture of wounded Marine "sparks debate"
"sparks debate" because this is an AP story reporting on its own actions. I guess they couldn't describe their actions as they really should be described. That would be suicidal, and logical entities wouldn't do anything like that, now would they? The AP distributed the picture despite personal pleas from Gates and the dead Marine's family in a case that illustrated the difficult decisions in reporting on a conflict where Americans have seen relatively few images of fallen U.S. troops over eight years.
