Civilian wounded in rocket attack in Kirkuk
KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: A civilian man was wounded in a Katyusha rocket attack in southwestern Kirkuk on Saturday, according to a source from the citys Joint Coordination Center (JCS).
A Katyusha rocket was fired from the al-Khadraa neighborhood and landed in the neighborhood of al-Wassiti in southwestern Kirkuk, leaving one civilian man wounded, the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The rocket launching pad was found nearby and was handled by Multi-National Force (MNF) troops, the source said, adding the wounded man was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. He did not give further details.
