2nd Earthquake detected off Tonga, 6.3
The US Geological Survey has detected another earthquake off Tonga.The USGS website reports the quake registered 6.3 on the Richter scale and occurred 85km south-east of Hihifo, Tonga, at a depth of 10km. The quake occured at 01:07 UST (11:57 AEST). No immediate tsunami alert was issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii. More to follow Posted by: Oztralian 2009-10-02 |
