Runaway convert back in Ohio after 3-month flight
A teenage girl is back in Ohio after running away to Florida because she said she feared her father would harm or kill her for converting from Islam to Christianity. The Florida Department of Children and Families says 17-year-old Rifqa Bary arrived Tuesday in Columbus accompanied by a state social worker and a Florida police officer. Bary is now in the custody of Franklin County Children Services, which was given control of her case earlier this month. She will stay with a foster family and undergo counseling. Earlier Tuesday, an Ohio judge ordered the state to supervise Bary's telephone and Internet usage at the request of children services.
