Younger Bush representing state-run Sinopec, other top China firms
From WSJ, through Geostrategy-Direct
Neil Bush, the younger brother of former President George W. Bush, has taken on a lobbying role for the state-owned Chinese oil giant Sinopec Group.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Bush represented Sinopec in the company’s bid for an oil field in Ghana.

The bid is part of Sinopec’s effort, worth billions, to invest in resources in Africa and the Middle East.

Despite lobbying by Bush, the newspaper reported that Ghana’s national oil company rejected Sinopec’s offer for the oil field and is waiting to hear from other oil companies.

Neil Bush is currently co-chairman of a Beijing-based real estate company and has been working with big steel maker Shougang Holdings to help it break into Africa, the newspaper stated.
