Gates names two to head broad probe stemming from Fort Hood shooting
From Ay Pee: Defense Secretary Robert Gates named former Army Secretary Togo West and former chief of naval operations Adm. Vernon Clark to review a broad range of Pentagon programs, ranging from medical and personnel policies to how well military bases are secured.
Calls are already going out from senior leaders within the Pentagon to internal staffers for papers supporting a "Self Radicalization" theory. I suspect the government will attempt to link Major Hasan with people having no direct ties to overseas networks or radical Islam, but who become "radicalized" via the evil internets. If direct ties to domestic third party Al-Qaida operatives can be denied or dispelled then there was really nothing for US Intelligence, FBI, and other to investigate concerning Major Hasan. How convenient. Nice ring to it that new Georgetown University buzz phrase "Self Radicalization."
