Two Thai rangers killed in gun battle
Two rangers were killed on Tuesday during gunfight with terrorists insurgents in Narathiwat's Rusoh district. Another ranger was wounded and then rushed to a hospital nearby.

A group of 12 rangers were patrolling the site when the terrorists insurgents opened fire on them. An insurgent was killed during the attack.

Earlier a man; Mayami Kadeng, 44, president of Bare Tai Tambon Administration Authority, was gunned down in front of his house in Rusoh district.

Mayami was earlier arrested for allegedly masterminding an arson attack at a school. He was freed on bail to run in the local election. He just won the election before being killed.
