Designer of 50-Star Flag Passes
 Robert G. Heft, who is credited with designing and sewing the first 50-star American flag, has died at 67. He created the flag as part of a high school project on his mother's sewing machine and President Eisenhower chose his design as our flag.RIP Robert, that banner still waves.
