Bomber kills 10 in eastern Afghanistan
[Iran Press TV Latest] A bomber targeting a pro-government militia commander has left at least ten people dead and dozens more wounded in Paktia province of eastern Afghanistan.
Afghan officials said the attack took place in Gardez outside a branch of the Kabul Bank on Thursday. The dead include a security company manager, his guards and four civilians.
Meanwhile, another blast near a girl's school in the eastern province of Laghman has killed one student and wounded three others.
Elsewhere, in Khost province, an explosion has rocked a government building. The blast hurt eight people, including the acting governor.
Bomb attacks have escalated in recent weeks with civilians bearing the brunt.
