ANP MPA targeted in Peshawar explosion
[Dawn] A remote-controlled bomb detonated in the Pawaka area of Peshawar targeting ANP MPA Alamgir Khan. According to police, Khan's vehicle was partially damaged in the incident; however, no casualties have been reported so far. Police official Bashir Khan says nobody was harmed in the blast, which damaged a wall outside a building where lawmaker Aalimgir Khan often meets with guests. Peshawar has experienced a wave of attacks since mid-October, when the army launched a major ground offensive against the Pakistani Taliban's main stronghold in the South Waziristan tribal area.
