Iran to build 2 new enrichment sites
Iran's vice president says the country plans to begin construction on two new uranium enrichment facilities in the next Iranian calendar year, which begins March 21.Ali Akbar Salehi, who is also the head of Iran's nuclear program, said Monday that Teheran intended to use its more advanced centrifuges at the new sites. Iran approved plans in November to build 10 industrial scale uranium enrichment facilities, a dramatic expansion of the program in defiance of UN demands it halt enrichment.
