Italy: Police arrest nine suspected Iranian arms traffickers
Italian police have arrested nine people suspected of trafficking arms to Iran. Iranian secret service agents were allegedly among those arrested by police in the northern city of Milan on Wednesday.Both Italians and Iranians were detained but none of the nine have so far been identified. Police said they were accused of illegally exporting arms and armament systems. Arms exports to Iran are strictly controlled under a United Nations embargo.
