U.N. council deplores human rights abuses in N. Korea
[Kyodo: Korea] The U.N. Human Rights Council on Thursday adopted a resolution criticizing North Korea"s human rights situation, for the third year in a row. A record 28 countries voted in favor of the resolution, tabled by Japan and the European Union, while five countries -- China, Russia, Egypt, Indonesia and Cuba -- were against it.
