Snow blankets city in SW Saudi Arabia
 [Iran Press TV Latest] Parts of the city of Tanomah in southwestern Saudi Arabia have been blanketed in thick snow while other parts of the oil-rich kingdom baked under the scorching sun. I blame Global Warming. According to Saudi Gazette newspaper, a thick blanket of snow fell Tuesday on Tanomah located north of Abha in the Asir province. Meanwhile, the suburban areas of Namas, Souda, Shaaf, Turaib, Oqbat Dalae, Khaibar Al-Janoub, Madda, Tihama Balasmar and Balahmar received heavy rainfalls accompanied by hailstorms. Tanomah is known for its milder climate compared to the rest of Saudi Arabia. Abha, situated 2,200 meters above sea level, is in a mountainous region close to the border with Yemen.
