PA official: Israeli settlers pelt cars with stones
[Ma'an] Israeli settlers pelted Palestinian cars with stones on Wednesday near Nablus, a Palestinian Authority official said. Oh, dear! I hope they don't start an intifadah! Human Rights Watch is gonna notice this episode of stone throwing, you wait and see ... Ghasan Daghlas, a PA official charged with monitoring settlements in the northern West Bank, said residents of the illegal outpost of Rachel, near Yetma, gathered near a road adjacent to the village and began throwing stones at passing vehicles. The official said several cars sustained damage, but no injuries were reported. An Israeli military spokesman had no immediate comment on that incident, but said the army was aware of three others in which Palestinians threw rocks at Israeli citizens and infrastructure. One Israeli civilian was lightly injured southeast of Bethlehem when Palestinians threw rocks at a car, the army spokesman said, while an Israeli car and bus were damaged in two separate incidents nearby.
