N. Korean leader ready for nuke talks
[Iran Press TV Latest] North Korea's leader Kim Jong-Il has reportedly expressed his willingness to resume long suspended talks over his country's nuclear weapons program. Gosh. Is it Friday already? South Korean media reports that Kim Yung-Il has made the pledge in a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao. Pyongyang walked out of the talks in 2009 after the UN toughened its sanctions over North Korea's long-range missile test. Kim's alleged remarks come as tensions have risen between Pyongyang and Seoul. This comes after a South Korean ship sank near disputed waters in March. Seoul suspects that Pyongyang may be responsible. It says it will not return to the six-party talks on the North's nuclear program before an investigation into the incident is concluded.
