Tea Party Favorite Rand Paul Under Fire for Criticizing Civil Rights Act
Liberal politicians. When they are against something, they start howling, hoping the monkey next to them in the tree will start howling too.I agree with Rand. The government should be required to have provisions for equal access, but not private business. It's too expensive for some. Besides, it's a private choice, not a public one. The business owner can talk to whomever on the phone, or arrange to meet him in the parking lot and take care of business. Done. Way cheaper. Less unconstitutional government overreach of authority. Republican Senate nominee Rand Paul scrambled to explain his criticism of the landmark U.S. Civil Rights Act, which outlawed racial discrimination, saying he agrees with its goals but questions the federal government imposing its will on businesses.
