Series of arson attacks hits southern Thailand
A series of arson attacks in southern Thailand has targeted electricity transformers, phone booths and cell phone relay towers, luring soldiers into a bombing ambush. Police Lt. Vichai Changsakul says the attacks occurred across five districts of Yala province from 4 am to 9.30 am on Tuesday morning. Three soldiers were wounded, one losing a leg, when they arrived at one of the attack sites and a bomb was detonated, he said.
