7 killed, 45 injured in 24 hours in Iraq
Within the space of a day, violence has claimed the lives of seven people across Iraq and left 45 others injured.
A bomb attack against the house of a policeman in Ramadi, the capital of the western province of Anbar, killed a young female, injured 10 others, and destroyed three residences on Monday, AFP reported.
Eighteen others were injured when four other houses belonging to law enforcement agents were attacked in the city of Fallujah, which is also in Anbar province.
A police patrol hit a roadside bomb in the south of Baghdad, claiming the lives of two people, including a policeman, and leaving five others injured.
Another bombing killed one person and injured six more in the Baghdad neighborhood of Mansur.
An explosive device, attached to a minibus using a magnet, killed one individual and injured six people in the district of Sadr City in northern Baghdad.
And two salesmen were fatally shot in Mosul and Kirkuk.
According to Iraqi government figures, 337 people were killed in May 2010, a rise from the same month last year.
