Jordan thwarted al-Qaeda threat to US embassy in Amman - US officials
Jordanian authorities last week thwarted a plan by members of Osama bin Ladenâs al-Qaeda network to attack the US embassy in Amman, State Department officials said. Officials said the plot was uncovered after the arrests of members of a terrorist cell, reportedly linked to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi members, who are also allegedly planning to attack Jordanian government facilities.
