Sharon: Yasser can't go to the prom unless the exploders stop
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon raised the bar Tuesday for Palestinian leader Yasser Arafatâs proposed trip to the Arab League summit, demanding that the United States acknowledge Israelâs right to bar Arafatâs return if there are terrorist strikes during his absence. Sharonâs terms, which included a call for Arafat to personally issue a declaration calling for a halt to violence, appeared to rule out a trip to Beirut, Lebanon, by Arafat, who has been confined to the West Bank since December by Israeli troops.
