5 wounded in IED blast in Baghdad
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Five persons were injured in a blast from an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in southeastern Baghdad on Friday, according to a local police source."An IED went off as an Iraqi army patrol was driving by in the area of al-Mada'in, southeastern Baghdad, leaving five persons -- two patrolmen and three civilians -- wounded," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. "The explosion also left a patrol vehicle severely damaged," he added.
