Defense volunteer gunned down in southern Thailand
A defence volunteer in Thailand's southernmost province of Narathiwat was killed in a drive-by shooting on Monday morning, the Bangkok Post's website reported.Maravee Yamabala, 37, was attacked by two men on a motorcycle as on his way to buy food at a shop in his village. He was shot twice, in the head and back, and died at the scene. Police were investigating. Meanwhile, two soldiers and three civilians were injured when a bomb exploded at the morning market in the Thepha community of Thepha district in Song-kla province, police said.
