Hizb-i-Islami Supplying Intel to Afghan Government
Taliban leaders in Baghlan and Kunduz provinces have been located after tip-offs from militants in Gulbuddin Hekmatyar's Hizb-i-Islami group, an Afghan general has said. General Murad Ali Murad, commander of the Afghan 209th Corps in northern Afghanistan, said: "We get intelligence on the Taliban's whereabouts and movements, especially their commanders, from members of Hizb-i-Islami." "The flow of intelligence is working very well. It really helps us eliminate those who pose a serious security threat," he told Reuters.
Hek was notorious for being on all sides at once 25 years ago. He probably got as much money from the KGB and KhaD as he did from the Saudis and Paks. He hasn't changed a bit.
