Rantburg translator
 You've probably noticed that I'm working on the translator. I expect it'll be an on-going project for awhile. It's pretty crude, just a direct replacement of common word combinations: "death toll" becomes "corpse count," "arrested" becomes "jugged", "Peshawar" becomes "Beautiful Downtown Peshawar," and so on. Right now it's only on the moderator's popup editor. When I've got it where I want it, it'll show up on the Poster. I've been tagging them as "Rantburg translation" but I might change that to "Autoedited by Rantburg." Bad's doing actual translations (from Spanish to English). "Editing" is probably a more accurate description. Give me feedback -- maybe favorite phrases with suggested renderings. Posted by: Fred 2010-07-25 |
