Japanese panel recommends changes in defence policy
Japan needs to prepare for events on the Korean Peninsula, in the Taiwan Strait, and small-scale invasions. Japan must allow the transfer of nuclear arms through it. Japan understands the US nuclear shield is necessary to protect Japan. This viewpoint can be understood in a way that does not contradict the goal of a nuclear weapons free world.
