150 Illegals Found in ABQ since Sanctuary City Status Revoked
In mid-May Albuquerque ordered every person arrested to be fingerprinted & screened to see if the person is in the country legally. At the new prisoner transport center in downtown Albuquerque, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have been fingerprinting and scanning suspects. Police Chief Ray Schultz said the processing facility is believed to be the first of its kind in the country. According to ICE officials, already 150 illegal immigrants have been arrested.
