Fires approach Russian nuclear plant
[Iran Press TV Latest] Russian officials have declared a state of emergency in the southern city of Ozyorsk, where a major nuclear reprocessing plant is located, due to wildfires in the region. The strategic city is located between the cities of Ekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk in the eastern part of European Russia. There are currently at least 200 blazes raging over an area of 200,000 hectares sending 1,000,000 tons of toxic carbon monoxide into the air every day above the European part of Russia.
