Iranian missile boats speedier than US warships: IRGC
IRNA -- The IRGC Navy commander said here on Monday that Iranian missile boats' speed of 35 knots is higher than that of the US warships.Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard's Corps (IRGC) Navy, Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi made the remark on the sidelines of a ceremony held this morning to unveil Seraj 1 and Zolfaqar speedboats at the marine industries complex of the Ministry of Defense. The deterrent and devastating power of the Islamic Republic's armed forces will be very high in case of any aggression by the enemy, the commander said. The current equipment of the IRGC Navy are more complicated and developed than those of the past years, he stressed. The commander further announced that the Iranian home-built missile boats are speedwise unique in the world, particularly compared with the American warships' maximum speed of 31 knot.
